This hair style is named after katniss everdeen which is a smooth wave in half up style and is inspired by the movie “the hunger games” and is a Dutch braid but the only difference is it starts from the top -side section of the head and as comes down becomes curved.
If done properly this braid is pretty simple but you have to do the steps cautiously as it much similar to French braid. It can be said that it is side swept French braid and the pieces of hair are pulled from under the braid and look iconic.
Steps for katniss everdeen hair braid:
Step-1 Take much part of your hair as you want from the section above your left ear and then split them into 3 smaller strands and start the braiding process.
Step-2 Distribute them in three equal parts and start braiding by crossing the sections over each other, if your hair tangles then keep brushing them.
Step-3 for easy braiding remember the hair strands you have pulled under the braid or number it as you want(1,2,3)
Step-4 bring group 1 under the group 2
Step-5 And after this move the group 1 above group 3 and put the fingers in some way that it does not mix it up.
Step-6 Then add a small portion of free hair to group 2.
Step-7 After adding the small portion to group 2 move it under the group 3 and then add some free hair to group 1.
Step-8 Add adding hair to group 1 add some hair to the hair that you have held in between the fingers and move it under the braid.
Step-9 Repeat this process till you reach the end of the hair and to make the process easier, do this process remembering as the French braid. The only difference is that it is reversed.
