Distinguishing feature:

The maximum amount of fat is concentrated around the belly region.

Causes:

  • Chronic stress
  • Skipping meals
  • Drink too much coffee.
  • Irritable bowel syndrome.
  • Consuming unhealthy diet such as salted nuts, potato chips, etc.

How to get rid of it:

Go to bed early. Disturbance in the sleep disrupts the production of leptin hormone which is used for the regulation of your appetite and metabolism.

Relax before sleep. You should do some breathing exercises, a lengthy bath, or meditation in order to relax your body before going to bed.

Don’t overexert your body with exercise. Avoid doing excess cardio as it may increase the cortisol level in your body. Instead you can perform yoga, long walks, and a gym session to calm your body.

Include magnesium in your diet. Magnesium can be found in certain green vegetables, nuts, and wheat bran. It is very beneficial in calming your body.

Special instructions:

You can reduce your cortisol level by doing yoga and stretching, and drinking some chamomile tea before going to bed.

Low belly

Distinguishing feature:

  • Upper body part is slim but the lower belly is fat.

Causes:

  • Recent motherhood.
  • Monotonous and overly exertive exercise in the gym (you do lots of crunches and use an abs wheel).
  • Unchanging diet.
  • Spinal curvature.

 

How to get rid of it:

  1. Healthy diet and lots of fiber.Eat healthy foods which are rich in fibers such as green leafy vegetables, whole-grain bread, etc.
  2. Give up on squats.Avoid doing squats as it emphasis more effort on your lower back, aggravating spinal curvature and making your tummy more prominent.
  3. Equal distribution of exercise.Do not emphasis more on a particular body part. Circulate your training equally.

 

Special instructions:

  • Drink more water,and always try to avoid foods which are very difficult to digest. You can opt for easily digested foods such as green vegetables and light proteins like fish and chicken.
